I was just reading an essay by Richard Sahn: Life Lessons from Dorothy Day.
I recall reading about Dorothy Day at the University of Massachusetts and her newspaper and Catholic Worker
I like Richard’s comment on our “our acceptance of a filthy, rotten, system that enshrines greed and injustice and inequity, a system tailored for exploitative competition, brutal punishment, and forever war”
As a nation under God, I’m of the opinion that while we do need to support ourselves; we shouldn’t do that at the expense of our souls. Lying to get ahead may seem fine but, it is a sin. I’ve seen that and more in my local humans. I also know humans that are good, God loving people. I’ve also met good people who are having a hard time due to ill health or other problems. Some work is being done to alleviate this suffering, but not enough.
I’ve become aware of Slavery which still exists and is both in our supply chain and in our own nation.
Many of my fellow American citizens remind me of an animal licking it’s genitals. Not good, but very human. I hope we can rise above that.
Please stop war. Use diplomacy. Stop jailing people for honest mistakes. We are all human beings. Please remember the Golden Rule – treat other people the way you would like to be treated.
God does love us all.
God Bless America,

Outsourcing seems to make sense when the function being outsourced can be done with a higher quality while controlling cost.
What I have seen is a drastic drive towards outsourcing with a major decrease in quality.
From H1B visas are for foreign workers who take jobs from the American Middle Class.
Here are the links to data. There are supposed to be 65,000 maximum H1B visas. If so, they seem to be mostly concentrated in Fortune 500 companies. According to 2013 statistics, 153,223 H1B Visas were issued with 99K H1B visas issued to Indian Citizens. Not good. They should be hiring Americans and training them to do the work.
Error and rework rates increase and customer satisfaction drops off when instead of getting a person on the phone who they can understand and is empowered to help them, they get someone in Indonesia masquerading as an American.
An American enterprise should train it’s employees and hire young people and veterans while promoting from within. The predatory drive to increase profits at the expense of the middle class is a disgrace.
Hopefully we can fix this.

As Americans we have rights and aspirations. We are born and seek to grow up to become a contributing member of society. Education is required. A good job is subsequently required that both challenges the person, provides for personal growth and adds value to society. A job that does not challenge or lead to personal growth leads to dissatisfaction and turnover.
Our primary and secondary education is provided by our society due to ideas introduced via Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the Social Contract and his Discourse on Inequality. Other authors who contributed to these ideas include Adam Smith, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Immanuel Kant, and Francis Bacon. Jean-Baptiste Say offered his A Treatise on Political Economy
Generally it seems that nowadays a tertiary level of education is required for Americans to be productive members of society and the Middle Class. That may be trade school or a College education. We should make these available to our citizens as a regular course of society. Perhaps via testing, personality assessment and continuing education.
As for bringing along the rest of the world with us, particularly those folks that are impoverished or being indoctrinated into radical ideologies, we might want to work on diplomacy and education at the same time. One Laptop per Child combined with a disc holding the Kahn Academy syllabus dropped via drone or provided via the Peace Corp into areas where we wish to influence the people. That combined with food, clean water, seeds, tools and perhaps building materials might be a good way to move away from war as a way of life to progressivism. I also really see a lot of potential in the Freight Farm.
As Humans, we were created by God,
As a species our goal is to get to Milliways, the One and Only Restaurant at the End of the Universe 😉 With some fortune and good thinking our distant offspring may make it.
As animals with a Soul, our goal is to make it to Heaven. Your opinion may differ. Good fortune with that.
May God Bless America, Please.
